An educated Soldier is the best asset the Army has. Pursue your educational dreams by using GoArmyEd, the new portal from the Army Continuing Education System (ACES). Access GoArmyEd by visiting www.goarmyed.com.
GoArmyEd is the virtual gateway for Soldiers serving in the Reserves or on active duty to request Tuition Assistance (TA) online, anytime for classroom, distance learning, and eArmyU online college courses.
GoArmyEd is a dynamic online portal that automates many of the paper-based processes you previously conducted with your Army Education Counselor.
GoArmyEd is your one-stop location for managing your college education and using TA benefits. GoArmyEd gives you access to many regionally and nationally accredited colleges and universities and over 1,000 available degree plans.
GoArmyEd is used by:
- Soldiers to pursue their postsecondary educational goals
- Army Education Counselors to provide educational guidance
- Schools to deliver degree and course offerings and to report Soldier progress
GoArmyEd enables Soldiers to view information in their student record anytime and anywhere. Soldiers will access GoArmyEd to:
- Request TA and register for college classes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including on-post, off-post, distance learning and eArmyU classes).
- Research and select schools and degree plans, research class costs, and admission requirements.
- Access online advising tools that help select college classes to advance toward a degree.
- Complete an electronic Statement of Understanding (SOU) each quarter and return a signed, paper TA SOU to an Army Education Counselor annually.
- Cancel TA requests to drop a class before the class starts.
- Withdraw from classes that have already started. This may result in recoupment for TA.
- Access an electronic version of the Student Record.
- View class grades the school has posted directly to the student record.
- Call or submit cases to the Helpdesk, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How to Get Help
- Soldier Quick Start Training on the portal provides complete information and instruction on using the GoArmyEd portal.
- To reference documents log into the GoArmyEd portal and click “View Reference Documents” in the Help Resources section.
- For questions call the 24/7 Help Desk Toll free at 1-800-817-9990. For OCONUS toll-free international Help Desk numbers, log into GoArmyEd, click on the “Helpdesk” link, and click on “View OCONUS Helpdesk Numbers” link.
- Create a Case from your GoArmyEd Homepage.
- Contact an Army Education Counselor. Find contact info on GoArmyEd. Click “GoArmyEd” in the left menu click “Education Centers,” then select your Education Center to obtain contact information.
